The highest pass of this region is the Thorong Pass (5416m). The deepest Kali Gandaki gorge also lies in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Muktinath temple is a world famous pilgrimage destination of the Hindus and Buddhists. The popular treks in this region are Annapurna base camp trek, Annapurna circuit trek, Jomsom Muktinath trek, Ghorepani Poon Hill trek and Mardi Himal trek.
