Island peak (6180m) is the most popular climbing peak that lies in the Everest region of Nepal. It is locally known as the Imja Tse, which was later renamed as Island peak by Eric Shipton. If you are looking for extra adventure along the Everest base camp trek, think of climbing the Island peak. It is a perfect trip for the adventure lovers and also who dream to climb the white peaks in the Khumbu region.
Island peak climbing trip begins from Lukla, walking above the Dudh Koshi valley, through the forests and terraced fields. Passing the culturally significant places of the Sherpa people as Namche Bazaar, Khumjungand Tengbuche, you reach to the base camp of the world’s tallest peak- Mount Everest. Then it backs to Chhukung and head to the Island peak base camp, arranging all the required climbing equipments. You need basically acclimatization and basic knowledge of peak climbing. It is less technical peak and from the summit, you can enjoy the breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam and the surrounding peaks.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1350m).
Day 02:Kathmandu cultural tour.
Day 03:Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2610m).
Day 04:Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m).
Day 05:Rest day.
Day 06:Namche Bazaar to Tengnboche (3867m).
Day 07:Tengboche to Pheriche (4200m).
Day 08:Pheriche to Lobuche (4930m).
Day 09:Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5364m), back to Gorakshep (5170m).
Day 10:Hike up to Kala Patthar (5545m), back to Lobuche (4940m).
Day 11:Lobuche to Dingboche to Chhukung (4730m).
Day 12:Chhukung to Island Peak Base Camp (5200m).
Day 13:Island Peak summit, back to Base Camp.
Day 14:Base Camp to Pangboche (3985m).
Day 15: Pangboche to Namche Bazaar.
Day 16:Namche Bazaar to Lukla.
Day 17:Fly to Kathmandu.
Day 18:Rest Day.
Day 19:Departure.
Day 01 Arrive in Kathmandu (1350m).After landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu from your designated destinations, you will be received by a representative of the travel company at the arrival gate who will then transfer you to you allotted hotels. If the time persists, you can either visit the city or relax at the hotel to overcome your jet lag. O/N at Hotel.
Day 02Kathmandu cultural tour. The Kathmandu sightseeing trip will begin in the morning. After breakfast, you will be taken towards Kathmandu Durbar (Palace) Square, one of the heritage sites where you can view many historical and cultural monuments. Later, you will visit another heritage site known as Pashupatinath Temple. This is a sacred Hindu Temple of Lord Shiva named which is always crowded by Hindu pilgrims. After lunch, visit to Buddhist pilgrimage Swoyambhunath (famous by the name of Monkey temple among tourists) will be carried forward. Likewise, Boudhanath Shrine will be covered by the evening. After concluding the sightseeing, there will be seminar for you to attend to discuss about the upcoming trekking plans. O/N at Hotel.
