The crossroad town of Syabrubesi serves as the gateway to the Tamang Heritage Trail, nestled amidst the green hills near the Langtang National Park. Along the journey, you'll pass charming villages, farmlands, and the Trishuli River, stopping for lunch on the way. After traversing less-traveled roads and ascending through Dunche, you'll reach Syabrubesi for the night, settling into a teahouse for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

As the day breaks, fueled by a satisfying breakfast, we set off on our exciting journey. After a 2 to 3-hour climb, we reach a stunning viewpoint offering panoramic views of the Ganesh Himal, LangtangLirung, and Gosainkunda range. Descending eagerly, we make our way through the charming Golijang valley before reaching Gatlang, a beautiful Tamang village nestled among terraced fields. Along the way, you'll encounter ancient Buddhist chortens and the impressive Mani Wall. As night falls, we settle down in Gatlang, eagerly anticipating the adventures that lie ahead.

Today, our trek begins with a descent to Tatopani, situated at an altitude of 2607m. Along the way, you'll pass through Chilime Village by the Bhotekosi River, offering views of the Chilime Hydropower dam. Crossing a small hanging bridge, we continue our ascent until we reach Tatopani, a renowned destination. Tatopani, meaning "hot water" in Nepali, is believed to have healing properties, with its natural hot springs thought to relieve aches and pains. After exploring Tatopani, we'll settle in for the night, enjoying a hearty dinner before retiring, ready to recharge for the journey ahead.

In the early morning, we gather for a hearty breakfast, preparing for the trek to Thuman ahead. Today, we set our sights first on Nagthali, ascending to its lofty heights at 3165m/10,386ft. Nagthali isn't just a mere pass; it's a sanctuary for meditation, revered by local monks and priests. As the sun starts to set, we find comfort and warmth in the welcoming ambiance of a teahouse in Bridim, relishing a hearty dinner before retiring for a well-deserved restful night's sleep!

We enjoy breakfast at Bridim and say good bye to the close embrace of the LangtangHimal. Our trek back to Syabrubesi takes us along the rushing BhoteKosi River, through paddy and corn fields that stretch as far as the eye can see. As the sun goes below the horizon, painting the sky with tints of red and gold, we arrive in Syabrubesi.
